Overview
TaskUpNext helps users connect task and calendar tools so tasks can be planned against available calendar time. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices users have.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as name, email address, and authentication identifiers.
- Tasks, notes, projects, settings, and task information users choose to connect from supported task tools.
- Files users choose to attach through the TaskUpNext website, including photos, videos, audio, and other documents. The native iOS app does not record audio or capture photos or videos.
- Calendar information users authorize from Google Calendar, such as calendar lists, event details, availability, and scheduling metadata.
- Product usage information, such as settings, connection status, sync activity, and error logs needed to operate the service.
- Productivity analytics, described below, consisting of identifiers, timestamps, and durations derived from connected tasks and calendar events.
- Purchase and subscription information needed to verify access, such as transaction identifiers, subscription status, and expiration dates. Apple or our payment provider handles payment credentials; TaskUpNext does not collect card or bank account numbers.
- Support messages and the contact information users provide when asking for help.
How We Use Information
- To connect user-selected task and calendar services.
- To create, preview, update, and manage scheduling plans requested by the user.
- To maintain account settings, troubleshoot errors, improve reliability, and protect the service from abuse.
- To communicate service-related updates or respond to support requests.
Productivity Analytics
So that users can see insights about their own work — how long tasks took, when work gets finished, and how much of a day was already committed — TaskUpNext keeps a daily record of scheduling activity. These records store identifiers, timestamps, counts, and durations only. They do not store task titles, task descriptions, notes, project names, calendar event titles, event descriptions, locations, or attendees.
Specifically, we retain:
- For each open task, once per day: its identifier in the connected task tool, which tool it came from, its creation and due timestamps, its priority level, and whether TaskUpNext scheduled calendar time for it that day.
- When a task leaves the user's open list: the date it happened, how long the task had existed, its priority, whether it was past due, and whether it had ever been scheduled.
- For each day: the number and total duration of calendar events, the number and total duration of focus blocks TaskUpNext scheduled, and the number of open tasks.
These analytics are per-user and are shown only to the account they belong to. We do not sell them, use them for advertising, or use them to build profiles of users across services. Analytics records are deleted along with the rest of an account's data when that account is deleted.
Google User Data
TaskUpNext uses Google user data only to provide calendar connection, availability, and scheduling features that users request. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless required for security, legal compliance, support requested by the user, or with the user's explicit permission.
TaskUpNext's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, we send Stripe your email address and TaskUpNext account identifier, and store your Stripe customer identifier, subscription status, and billing period to manage access. Card details are entered directly into Stripe Checkout and are not stored by TaskUpNext.
Sign in with Apple
When you choose Sign in with Apple, we use Apple's app-specific account identifier and verified email address to create and secure your TaskUpNext account. You may choose Apple's private email relay. We verify Apple authorization and store the credentials needed to maintain and revoke that authorization securely. We do not merge Apple and Google accounts solely because they use the same email address.
Website Analytics
Our owned website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand page views and improve the service. It receives page paths, interactions, approximate country or region, browser and operating-system information, device category, and a request-derived visitor identifier retained for up to 24 hours. Page paths can contain labels users create in the web app. These website statistics are not joined to customer identities and are not used for advertising, cross-company tracking, or data-broker sharing. The native iOS app does not include an advertising or website analytics SDK and does not collect GPS location or an advertising identifier.
Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help us operate TaskUpNext, such as hosting, authentication, database, analytics, and infrastructure providers. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users, or to protect the rights and security of TaskUpNext.
Username Accounts
Username accounts store a salted password hash and a hashed recovery code. They are separate from Google and Apple accounts. Keep your recovery code secure; it is required to recover a username account.
Retention and Deletion
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Signed-in iOS users can initiate account deletion from Settings > Account > Delete account. Deletion requires confirmation and fresh authentication. We first stop account activity and revoke or disconnect linked authorizations, then remove TaskUpNext's stored account content, attachments, settings, productivity analytics, and access credentials. If a required provider action fails, deletion remains pending so it can be retried safely. Disconnecting a service alone does not remove previously stored content.
Deleting your TaskUpNext account does not automatically cancel an Apple or other paid subscription. Cancel your subscription through the provider's subscription settings. Limited security, billing, operational, or legally required records may remain subject to applicable retention requirements and our service providers' deletion schedules; deletion does not promise immediate removal of every vendor log or backup.
Users can revoke TaskUpNext's Google Calendar access at any time from their Google Account permissions page or by disconnecting Google Calendar in TaskUpNext. Revoking access stops future calendar sync. Users may also request deletion of stored Google OAuth tokens and related account connection data by emailing support@taskupnext.com.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect user information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to limit access to information and protect credentials and tokens used by connected services.
